IGW — Foodics POS ↔ Talabat Platform
Description

IGW is a multi-tenant integration-as-a-service platform connecting Foodics point-of-sale systems to Talabat across the GCC, with multi-account support per customer. It handles OAuth2 and bearer authentication, an idempotency strategy, dead-letter retry queues, and Hangfire-scheduled menu and availability synchronisation. Live at igw.beon-it.com, with the Pick restaurant chain in Kuwait as first production client.

Key Features
  • Multi-tenant, multi-account: Each customer can connect several POS and delivery accounts under one tenant.

  • Idempotency strategy: Safe replay of any event, because delivery platforms retry aggressively.

  • DLQ retry queues: Failures quarantined and replayable rather than dropped.

  • Scheduled sync: Hangfire jobs keeping menus and item availability aligned across systems.

Technologies Used
  • Backend: ASP.NET Core with Hangfire for scheduled and background work.

  • Database: PostgreSQL 16.

  • Messaging: RabbitMQ and Redis for event distribution and caching.

  • Infrastructure: Docker and Kubernetes.
